We'll reserve about an hour for your initial visit. When you arrive, a member of our team will greet you and take your new patient forms. For your convenience, our forms are available for you to download and print online. If you prefer, we can provide them for you at your initial visit. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment if you choose this option. After we have reviewed your paperwork, we'll discuss your reasons for visiting us. Once we understand your unique situation, we can schedule a subsequent appointment for a comprehensive exam, cleaning, or both.
Early detection is the key to preventing major problems from arising and negatively impacting your oral and overall health. At your comprehensive exam, the dentist will inspect your soft tissues for signs of gum disease and oral cancer and perform a tooth-by-tooth inspection that to identify even small areas of decay. He will also examine your bite (the way your upper and lower teeth fit together) and jaw joints for signs of TMJ disorder and/or bruxism. For increased accuracy and precision, we may use the following dental technology during your initial exam:
After your thorough examination, the dentist will discuss his findings, recommend options for treatment, and answer any questions that you may have. Your professional hygiene visit can be scheduled at this time as well.
Do you Accept Dental Insurance?
We work with many dental insurance companies, and will file your insurance for you to help maximize your benefits. We can bill any insurance, as long as you're not required to see a specific dentist. Please be prepared to pay your copay or deductible at the time of treatment. For more information, please call our office. Our insurance specialist will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
Why didn't my insurance cover a certain treatment?
Dental insurance is diverse. Some policies cover only a small percentage of fees, while others cover 50% or greater. We'll work with your insurance company to make sure you receive the maximum benefit allowed. If you have questions about specific treatments, we recommend you contact your insurance provider.
Why isn't Dr. Salmans a preferred provider with my insurance plan?
We feel that our patients deserve high-quality treatments, advanced technology, and modern materials. Preferred providers agree to reduce their fees by 20 to 30%, and if we did that, we couldn't provide our patients with the best care possible.
What are your payment and financing options?
We accept cash, check, and credit card, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Financing is available for qualified applicants through CareCredit and Chase Health Advance.
